Insurance is quite an important aspect of shooting whether it's at a club or on your own land.  If you shoot at other clubs ensure they have adequate cover, and if you hunt or have your own land it's worth taking out BASC* or BASA insurance at about £50 per year. No matter how careful you are, accidents can and do happen.

* Whilst both BASC and BASA insurance offer very good cover at a reasonable cost, if you intend to obtain permission to shoot for vermin, BASC insurance is more likely to be recognised by landowners and farmers who are likely to be members as well and may stand you in better stead.
