Pictures from the NEFTA 2006 Classic at Pontefract. It was an excellent weekend with well laid out and challenging courses. Pontefract did a great job, and the whole thing went extremely smoothly. The usual silhouette course was a bit of a surprise for my first time, 40 standing targets in banks of 10 (2 lots of 5) at 20, 30, 36 and 45 yards and a time limit of 2 1/2 minutes per 5. Scary! Followed by a 40 target FT course on each day. If you've not been before you should go to the 2007 Classic, if only to win a coveted duck badge which are only awarded if you miss a bank of 5 silhouettes. The event was won by Ian Taylor, but loads of other prizes were up for grabs.
Getting ready for the first event. Lee had heard that Pontefract was near the Arctic and came prepared.
The silhouette course. 40 very small targets between 20 and 45 yards shot standing twice over the weekend.
Here are the first batch of silhouette shooters
Here's Richard shooting his silhouettes
And then 2 full 40 target courses. Here's Mick from Bisley
Maggie
Davinia
And Dan from Pontefract who was Robert's shooting partner over the weekend
Chris
But it's also a bit of a social with people coming from all regions. Here's Cliff
And Jenny Essex Bird
And here's the Bisley lot that we let shoot for the Buccaneers at NEFTA. All they need now is a banjo.
