Changes will be made here as soon as dates of additional competitions are confirmed, so check this page on a regular basis for updates. If there is enough interest we may also hold club days on bank holiday weekends, however, in the past only 1 or 2 people have turned up. We've populated the diary with all notified events, but some are some way off and should be viewed as provisional. Changes will occur once other external competitions are advised. Under the terms of our lease we are limited to a maximum of 28 club days per year which the club will endeavour to fulfil and these will always be fitted in around external competitions as the committee tends to be made up with competitive shooters. The club has a strong competitive history and by doing this it allows the maximum number of shooting days, in fact there is the opportunity to shoot almost every Sunday of the year somewhere within our region. If you're unhappy about this, join the committee at the AGM! If it's very wet and windy club days may be cancelled on the day as it's not pleasant shooting in a gale with driving rain. Someone will usually open up, but we may not shoot and it will be up to you to put out and bring back targets if you choose to shoot. If it's wet and no one has arrived by 10am the club day will generally be abandoned and the site locked up. Club days are always on Sundays
For a full UK list including HFT, and to get up to date information check out the BFTA and UKAHFT websites. Be aware that in the past locations of shoots have changed at short notice. Whilst we try to ensure this page is up to date it's compiled from a number of sources, some unofficial, so we recommend that you also check both the BFTA and hosting clubs websites to make sure you're going to the right place the day before as we have no control over other clubs changing dates or locations. Club days may change at short notice if the key holder is not available. Please remember that club officials are volunteers and also have responsibilities outside of the club which may occasionally have to take priority.
